Automatics are much more comfortable for traffic, but newer manual cars have pretty soft clutches so its not as horrible as some people think

Manual gears have overlapping speeds, in the city you usually choose the lower gear since slowing down is likely, this also helps prevent needless shifting third gear should go anywhere from 18 to 50km/h but preferably staying near 30
